Cookeville, TN (8-17-07) -- Sesame Workshop’s Walkaround Elmo and
Maya and Miguel will make a special appearance in WCTE-TV’s popular
Stations of Imagination during the 12th Annual Cookeville Fall Fun
Fest Presented by U.S. Cellular September 7-8, 2007. The popular attraction
begins with a sneak preview at 5:30 p.m. Friday night and kicks into
full gear at 10:00 a.m. Saturday with numerous activity booths, family-oriented
entertainment and an opportunity for kids to meet their favorite PBS
characters, and will continue until 5:00 p.m. Headlining the stage
will be Carlos and Friends with their great Salsa sound from Nashville.
The PBS member station is sponsoring the event for the 12th year.

- Wide Variety of Entertainers Slated For
11th Annual Cookeville Fall FunFest September 8-9
Cookeville, TN (8-23-06) – A wide variety of musical sounds
will light up the stages at Cookeville’s 11th Annual Fall
FunFest Friday and Saturday, September 8-9. From Carolina beach
music to pop/jazz saxophone and from traditional blues to Appalachian
blues and folk to alternative rock, there will be something to
suit almost every musical taste. Some of the best area bands will
be competing in a Battle of the Bands. Deadline for entering the
Fall FunFest Battle of the Bands is Friday, August 25th.

Annual Fall FunFest is slated for Friday and Saturday, September 8-9,

One of the premier
fall events on the Upper Cumberland Plateau, Fall FunFest offers a
variety of events for the entire family, including a championship barbeque
cook-off, a Regions Bank Family Fun Zone, Teen World, a 5k/10k Eloqui Fun Run, WCTE
Stations of Imagination and TACA arts and crafts area. A variety of
musical entertainment will perform on three stages, and local and regional
vendors will offer food and concessions. Past performers have included
Delbert McClinton, Marcia Ball, Jonell Mosser and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
