23rd Annual Cookeville Cook Off Presented by
The Cookeville CookOff competition just keeps on building! And so does the pressure. With $10,100 in prize money at stake, you can feel the heat all over the Square.
At least three dozen teams from across the country will compete for the coveted Grand Champion title. Besides a hefty prize purse of $1,000.00, the Grand Champion of the Cookeville CookOff also claims the title of Tennessee State Champion for the Kansas City Barbeque Society! The competition that happens here does not just stay here; our Grand Champion is automatically entered in the Kansas City Barbeque Society National Invitation and eligibility for Jack Daniels Invitational drawing. Sweet!
The feast is on as you get first dibs on the tasty treats and morsels offered up by numerous CookOff vendors. Good luck trying to decide where to start as you savor the sights, sounds and smells of the best barbeque in the country being prepared right before your eyes.
The competition heats up in a serious frenzy as each team whips up their special spicy and dicey concoctions to be crowned top honors for chicken, ribs, beef, brisket, pork, sides and dessert. The dessert champ gets a sweet $150 in prize money. The first place winner in each of the meat categories wins $500. And the Reserve Grand Champion will win $750 cash! Don't miss the awards ceremony at 3:00 pm on the main stage.
